JVC Summer Camp!

  • A 6-week summer camp for children with disabilities between the ages of 13-17.

  • June 9, 2025 - July 17, 2025

    Monday - Thursday

    8:30am - 3pm

  • Harlingen, TX

  • $400 per camper

    Includes:

    Lunch/snack

    Camp T-shirt

    Transportation to field trips & all field trip fees

Weekly Themes

Garden Growing

Week 1

Campers will experience the benefits of gardening and enjoying the outdoors. During this week, campers will focus on motor skills and responsibility. 

Wildlife Wonders

Week 2

Campers will focus on nurturing animals and the connection animals have on mental health. Our campers will be able to focus on empathy and companionship.

Health and Wellness

Week 3

During this week, campers will focus on the importance of physical health through exercise, healthy eating choices and ways to regulate stress. 

Culinary Arts

Week 4

This week, campers will have the ability to follow a recipe and create delicious meals. Campers will learn the importance of kitchen skills, teamwork, and to expand their palate for new foods. 

Water Safety

Week 5

At Juniper Valley, safety is our priority! Campers will learn the necessary skills for safety during water activities to reduce the risk of drowning and enhance resiliency in our campers. 

Crafts & Creativity/Family Day

Week 6

Campers will be able to express their creative abilities through various modalities of painting, water coloring, and crafts. During this week, campers can showcase their projects for their families during our end of the week showcase.

  • The safety of all campers and volunteers is of top priority. Safety was used to guide every decision made regarding all aspects of the camp.

  • The Juniper Valley Summer Camp is a place where campers should feel comfortable, welcomed and celebrated.

  • The summer camp curriculum was designed by educational and medical professionals to consist of meaningful, recreational activities that promote continued growth and independence. Individualized goals will be developed for each camper to track progress.
